Benefit's Fake Up & Lancôme Hypnose Mascara:

They say old is gold....... so as far as Cosmetic gold goes, Lancôme has produced some of the best mascaras for the higher end make-up junkies, Hypnose being a cult treasure. So, I decided to try the beauty while on a recent cosmetic splurge! (like an girl needs more, right?!) Having Hypnose Drama in hand, I popped over to the dynamical Benefit counter to see what was the latest hype on display there. I spotted a concealer that I had seen in a video by Nicole Guerriero  on YouTube ( one of my favourite beauty broadcasters ;-)) when she was highlighting her current favourites I think. I had been on the hunt for a moisturizing under-eye concealer, one that provided modest to decent coverage- an everyday concealer. Benefit's Fake Up Concealer does just that. Honest. :-)

 

 

 

Benefit's Fake-Up Concealer has an unusual concept. The outer rim of the stick-like concealer has a moisturizing texture and gives a smooth application to the under-eye area. The moisture of the product can be felt as it doesn't give that 'tight' under-eye feeling that one can get from full coverage concealers. I like to use the Real Techniques Foundation Brush to pat the concealer up towards the top of the cheekbone to elongate the youthful glow the concealer  leave behind.

As I have fair skin, 01 Light was the best option for me but the concealer is available in 01 Light, 02 Medium and 03 Dark . This concealer is the perfect for a moisturizing under-eye cover up or could even be applied to the face sparingly as a light foundation.

Lancôme Hypnose Drama Mascara is my current favourite mascara! Its short bristles make it easy to wiggle the brush to meet every single lash to add lots of length and volume to your lashes-its definitely worth the hype! If you like that 'spider-like' mega lashes look,  more layers would do the trick. Beautiful on its own or with a smokey-eye, this mascara is definitely one of the best of the high-end and is a must on your shopping list!!
