Revlon Lip Butters & Just Bitten Balm Stain :-)

 

 

 

In the ring for review today is Revlon and its infamous lip products. Anyone who is anyone on YouTube would have seen the endless reviews, posts and videos praising Revlon for their lip products for those on a budget. For those of your hiding under a rock ;-), Revlon produce lip products with good pigmentation which leave the lips nourished and hydrated along with a lip colour that lasts. I have these products a while now, having paid Boots a fair few visits just after the hype on YouTube. Often, little ol Ireland is forgotten on the list for product launches-usually only arriving here well after the hype dies...................typical!! :-) But, that also means that I have tried and tested these lippies in all conditions.......just for you!! <3

 

 Crème Brulee is a brownish-beige shade that applies beautifully to the lips. Revlon has done well in producing a creamy texture that almost melts on the lips. This shade is perfect for adding life to the lips for the everyday gal.....adding a touch of colour to the lips as well as hydrating them. Lollipop------------<3 this is my favourite everyday burst of colour for the lips. This, for a higher end dupe, would be MAC Rebel with a magenta undertone-but is waaaaaaay more hydrating. It leaves a lasting stain on the lip which gives us with a pale complexion a luscious youthful look. Similar to Lollipop, Lovesick Passionnee is the Just Bitten 's answer to a magenta pink lip that leaves lasting colour. In contrast to the Lip Butters, Revlon's Just Bitten balm stains failed to have any properties associated with a balm.

 It's 'crayon-like' applicator, in my opinion, tugs on the lips in application. Although the colour pay-off is good, I found it to be drying, requiring a pop of moisture over it-defeating the purpose of a balm, but does stain????!!! It is a pity, I had hoped that they would be 'holy grail' :-( But, I can.....hand-on-heart recommend the Lip Butters- they.......are..........amazing!! For us Irish gals, and women with pale complexions, these are a must. Perfect for an everyday dash-out-the-door lick of lipstick or a subtle colour for a night out............ Revlon has done well girls!!!
