Top 10 M.A.C Eyeshadows-
What Every Girl Needs To Know!

We all know that M.A.C is a well sought after make-up brand, for donkey's years. I remember looking at M.A.C when I was small, thinking how amazing all the make-up artists looked! Nowdays, compared to the 'higher' end brands like Make-Up Forever, Tom Ford, Charlotte Tilsbury and so son, M.A.C doesn't appear to be all that expensive. Despite the varied views on whether it's high-end or sitting pretty in the middle, we LOVE it anyway!

One of my favourite things to purchase from M.A.C are their super pigmented eyeshadows. Now, for anyone who isn't familiar with M.A.C there are a few different types. The most popular ones, (the ones most people reach for are the regular potted eyeshadows like these:)

Girls in work with me that are unsure and afraid to venture into M.A.C in fear of spending a downright fortune, often ask to tell them exactly what shade and what it says on the back of the pot-Irish out to the last- " Write down now what I'm to say to yer one so that I don't look like an eejit". Something along those lines! :_) These guys are the permanent shades that all MAC stores carry. If you have the empty 15 pan pallet you can make yourself, ask for the shade in 'pan-form' . These are slightly cheaper than in the pot, which will save you more in the long run. MAC also release limited edition shades in pots that run larger than those above. I often find these lack in pigmentation and just collect dust in my opinion, except for the PRO LONGWEAR ones. They're not too bad, but not nearly as good as the permanent shades which I find to be consistently good.

In a nut shell, in Ireland you can buy them in pot or pan form, which I was delighted with when I asked the sales lady if they had the pan forms here. I bought the 15 pan empty pallet to customise the eyeshadows, so that I'm not buying stuff  I simply won't use! They also sell 'quads' empty, which are 4 empty slots in a smaller pallet. These are handy for travel I find! With all of that said, here are my top shades that take you from day to night!:-):

1: Woodwinked
This is a gorgeous bronzy brown with a touch of gold that is gorgeous all over the lid or blended into the crease.

2: Mulch
This one is more on the cooler shades of the brown that is stunning with green eyes. Lovely with a smoky-eye!

3: Satin Taupe

This is stunnnnnnning! It comes off more grey than above, but this with Carbon on the outer-V. Bomb.com

4:All That Glitters

This one is one of the most popular ones, and  I can see why. You can't say its a beige, brown or pink brown its like a mauve shade with golden brown undertones. Lush!

5: Romp

This a gorgeous rich chocolate shade that is lovely  as an 'on the go ' quick all-over shade or in a smoky eye.

6) Antiqued

This guy is such an unusual shade. It is a dusty brown with orange undertones( good for a shimmery alternative to the Kylie Jenner 90s orange/brown  matte look going!)

7) Espresso

This is a staple shade. It doubles as the perfect shades to smoke-out a matte smoky eye and as a brow filler for my fellow brunettes. Don't judge this one!

8) Brule

Brule is an eyeshadow I've repurchased about 6 times! It blends out any harsh lines, perfect as a base to build eyeshadows on top of it, under the brow colour.....the list is endless! Ricepaper is a good alternative for those who want more of a yellowish tinge.

9) Nylon

Nylon is my favourite inner-corner highlight shade. It comes off more white than what it looks in the pan, love this one.

10) Sable

This is my go-to colour in a rush. Brown and gold shimmer. Can't go wrong!

These are my favourite neutral everyday shades that can be layered  and mixed up to transition to night looks. Hope you enjoyed!

*M.A.C is available in Brown Thomas across Ireland, Dublin Airport as well as the free-standing store on Dublin's Henry Street.*
