Love It Or Leave It! :
L'Oreal MissManga Mega Volume Mascara &
Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Volupte Shine in #18

Hey girls!!! Hope you're keeping well. Today's post is a 'Love It Or Leave It' feature which includes products that I LOVE or..............I'd rather leave it! Both of the above are recent purchases for me, one I love the other, not worth it!

Leave It!
L'Oreal's MissManga Mascara had all the hype that I usually love- pink and black packaging, triangular shaped wand and an unreal ad campaign! But however, the product doesn't do a whole lot for me. Firstly, and I'm not sure if it's just my one in particular, has an 'unusual' smell that I don't typically find in L'Oreal mascaras.  With that little disclaimer aside ;-), I found that no matter how much I wiggled, fluffed and dragged my eyelashes I didn't get the volume I expected in comparison to, for example, the Lancôme Hypnose Drama. I thought that when you pull the wand from the tube, there seems to be a lot of excess mascara stuck to the top of the wand in which you would have to scrape off the excess- wasting product girls! Having being in other drugstores that stock this mascara on a daily basis, the shelf always seems full in comparison with other mascaras that have the proof of popularity, lots and lots of gaps!

Love It!
As pictured above, the YSL Rouge Voulupte Shine in #18 is a beautiful berry shade with subtle shine. Unlike the more pinky shines I've tried from the line, this shade is less 'shiny' than some of the others. Although berry lips are usually tipped as autumnal hues, I think this shade would look good all year round. When you think of shine formulations, you think that they would lack in longevity, and be smothered in stickiness but that's not the case here! Without the need of a lip liner ( I'd usually use MAC Currant for berry shades) the colour of the lipstick stayed even after I had eaten- promising stuff! This shade also photographs well, seen above, which is useful in preventing a washed out look in photographs. The shine factor of this lipstick doesn't leave that sticky or creamy feeling on the lips, the kind that falls into the lips lines or chapped spots. I adore this shade and the line, thumbs up here!
