Top 5 High-End Foundations & Best Brushes to Apply With
Hey girls! Hope you all are keeping well. Today I hit you with my favourite high-end foundations. I honestly believe that if your foundation fits.... then anything else will look amazeballs with it! Here are my top five:
1) MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation SPF 15- Shade NW20
By far my most reached for foundation, of a more thicker consistency. Don't get me wrong, I adore Chanel's Vitalumiere Aqua for a day when I want a 'no make-up make-up look', but when I want to go all out- this is the one for me. For a full coverage look- I like to dampen the Blank Canvas F22 Angled Kabuki brush. Flawless!
2) Estee Lauder Doublewear Stay-In-Place Foundation- Shade : Ecru
This bad boy is more or less quite similar to the MAC Studio Fix, but has better staying power without a primer. When it says 'stay in place' it does......like literally. I usually opt for this one when I know I won't have time to touch up or don't want the fuss of bringing glass jars around with me all day. It's a gorgeous foundation, especially when applied with the Blank Canvas F21 Brush or the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. Tres Chic!
3) Nars Sheerglow Foundation- Shade: Sante Fe
This one, currently, is my everyday foundation. I would say its medium coverage, but buildable. It strikes the perfect balance of dewiness on the face, just gorgeous! I like to use the Real Techniques Stippling Brush for this one to provide a non-cakey look for every day wear.
I know some of you guys reading this will be like- WHHHAAA?? NUMBER 4??? Yes. I like the runny consistency of the foundation and its satin-like finish but I wouldn't say it's out of this world you know? I use this one or the Armani Luminous Silk for photos or weddings.... but it is a good foundation-just not wowwww!!!
5) Yves Saint Laurent Le Teint Touche Éclat- Shade: BD 20
This one I had to include in the top 5. It's a really classy foundation and with the hint of the infamous Touche Éclat highlighter, the foundation on its own gives a medium coverage and naturally highlights the high points of the face-lush. It's like 'your own skin but better', you know that kind? (ve to admit also, I'm sucker for the packaging of this one! ;-)) With a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush you'll be looking like a Victoria Secret Model in no time! ;-)
