My Must Have Summer Make-Up Products:

So, with the un-expected heat wave of late in Ireland ( wooohoooo!) I thought I would give my spin on the best make-up products for the hot months .....not that we get many :-).......but on the off chance these should tie us over girls!!! :-)

 

 

The above are a minute selection of products I always reach for in the hot summer months. As foundation melts and looks, well... hideous in the hot months in layer-loads- I opt for the BB Cream by Smahbox. Although one of the more pricey BB creams on the market (roughly 40 spot :-(), I personally find it the best. It provides enough coverage in the summer months without leaving the skin feeling saturated in foundation. It has a slight satin look on the face that gives a youthful look for a fresh summer face!


For blush- coral tones are best. The infamous MAC StereoRose is perfect for a beachy sun-kissed cheek, similar to NARS blush in Orgasm (27 euro). I think with a touch of bronzer, the peach tone blushes are extremely flattering especially for us pale-faces in Ireland :-)


For the eyes-  The Urban Decay Naked Pallets or some like the MAC ones above suffice for a bronzy smoky eye. Eyeshadows like: Woodwinked, Bronze, Sable, Patina and Romp ( 15.50 in pot or 11.50 in pan) are ideal brown shades that have that summer bronze finish-regardless of skin tone! ++++ :-D
To add extra definition or for a pop of summer glow- why not opt for a colourful eyeliner. The make-up world at current is lusting after Chanel's selection of coloured mascaras. MAC Pure Show Eyeliner (19.50) is a beautiful pure gold that is perfect for summer. If you didn't feel like wearing eyeshadow, why not try a slick of this gold liner along the bottom lashline with mascara for a pop of colour- bang on trend!

Lips- lips, lips ,lips, lips, lips!!!!! The summer is all about having fun with lipstick shades. Go bold if you dare! My favourite lip shades are MAC Candy Yum Yum and Costa Chic (appropriate right?)(18.50 in Ireland). These two beauties are for the lazy ones out there that can just fling on some BB Cream and a bright lip and your ready to go! Spritz some of Victoria Secret Coconut Passion Body Mist ( 12 euro from ebay) and you'll feel transported to the Caribbean in no time!!
